Music Policy
KPFT features a wide variety of music programs. Refer to the Program Schedule for the complete schedule and Programs A-Z for an alphabetical list of programs with brief descriptions of each one.

NEW MUSIC SUBMISSIONS:
KPFT maintains a music CD library for its program hosts to utilize for airplay. New music is added to the New Releases section in the front of the library on an ongoing basis. Send new music submissions (all genres) to:

Laura Slavin
KPFT Music Dept. Liaison
419 Lovett Blvd.
Houston, TX 77006

In addition to the initial music library copy, if you would like to send extra music CDs as personal copies for program hosts, send separate packages addressed to the attention of the programs. For further assistance, email or call Laura Slavin (713-526-4000, ext. 313).

AIRPLAY REPORTING/TRACKING:
KPFT does not formally report to airplay charts. For further information, contact Laura Slavin

CONCERT CALENDAR:
Artists seeking to have their upcoming live music performances at Houston area venues posted on the Weekly Concert Calendar should email the performance information (artist/band name, name of venue, and date of live music performance at venue) toThe Blues Hound at blueshound@kpft.org. The Blues Hound and Baby Girl compile the Weekly Concert Calendar that www.KPFT.org links to. The weekly deadline is Thursdays at 5 PM.

ON-AIR GUEST APPEARANCES:
To request an on-air interview and/or live music performance, refer to the Programs A-Z list and contact the programs' hosts directly via email. On-air guest scheduling is done by the individual program hosts. Some programs that regularly feature guests are booked months in advance. For further assistance, contact Program Director Ernesto Aguilar (713-526-4000, ext. 308). Due to facility restrictions, the KPFT chief engineer has requested on-air live music performances be acoustic only.

MEMBERSHIP INCENTIVES:
To provide CDs to be used as membership incentives (thank-you gifts for listener donations during KPFT membership drives), contact Membership Coordinator Lydia Wacasey (713-526-4000, ext. 314). Click here to email her.
