A heartfelt letter.
KPFT’s Howlin’ the Blues hosts share their appreciation:
KPFT’s “Blues Benefit By The Bay” is now one for the history books. There are a lot of behind the scene moving parts that occur when organizing an event, and most folks are unaware of the logistical challenges you face to successfully pull off an event like this.
Fortunately, everything unfolded without any problems due to the hard work of a bunch of wonderful people that we’d like to recognize. Mark and Danny, our Bar-B-Q cooks, for the mouth watering spread; our volunteers, Dennis, Kim, Gary, David, Gail, Lorie and Annelia; those who donated the delicious baked goods; Jessica, Desiree and Sue for their friendly and efficient service; Bob and Katie Emmons for opening the doors to their club for the event and for the multitude of things that are much too long to list (We love you; you guys rock!); all of the musicians that gave of their time and talent. Without you it would have just been sittin’ around and drinkin’. Ha! Ha! We are truly blessed to have such of the best musicians anywhere in the world right in our back yard.
And, last but not least, all of the good people that turned out for the event to support KPFT.
On behalf of all of us at KPFT, we’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Your generosity and love make these events easy.
See you on the radio.
