The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston, in partnership with Jewish Family Service, is mobilizing a community response to the historic May 26 flood that devastated individuals, families and Jewish institutions in Houston in and around the Meyerland, Bellaire, Willow Meadows neighborhoods. Much of the Houston Jewish community resides in southwest Houston—one of the hardest hit areas and we are committed to help all residents in need.
The Federation is collecting financial donations and JFS is working to help impacted residents with counseling, physical labor, gift cards for groceries and home goods, and temporary financial assistance. The public is asked to drop off specific items to help with flood relief at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center.
