KPFT sends its caring wishes to those affected by the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus. We deeply appreciate all of your support during these challenging times.

We are committed to meeting the needs of our supporters, partners, and communities — and are prepared to serve you as we always have, with a few adjustments.

You may have noticed that KPFT is airing many shows from our archives. Due to increasing concerns over the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact to KPFT Radio staff, both paid and unpaid and our volunteers, KPFT management has decided that traffic inside the station must be kept to a minimum, reducing public health threats to the community.

Our volunteer programmers have been encouraged to pre-record their programs from home, and for those who cannot, their time slots are being filled with archived material.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we are taking this measure to do our part in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus.  Our schedule will remain modified in this way until further notice.

Your understanding and support is truly appreciated and plays a crucial role in providing the resources that enable us to fulfill our mission to connect people in Houston and all over southeast Texas to the world and the world to life in southeast Texas.

If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback, please reach out to me by
email at Thank you again for being a listener and supporter of KPFT.
