As we barrel toward year’s end, KPFT remains on solid footing thanks to the generous support of our listeners.
Here’s a short list of some upcoming changes to what you’ll hear on 90.1:
KPFT programmers are making tribute shows to the Houston hiphop DJ legend and KPFT programmer, Bobby Phats of The Groove. KDUBB, Bobby’s co-host intends to continue the show.
The coalition from Casa de Casa, led by Jason Barnes ,will host a live New Years Eve show in studio 11PM- 1AM December 31st. They will be taking requests via the internet and the event will be streamed via “Facebook Live” on the KPFT 90.1FM page.
- Two new programs are starting on HD2 in 2026; “In Progress, Texas” (Progressive Politics in Texas weekly recap) and “Plant It Earth” (Gardening in Houston and beyond).

- The KPFT Radio app is now available in Apple and Android stores. The APP provides a convenient way to listen to all three HD channels, listen to archives, catch up on KPFT and make donations and more…. spread the word.

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners, KPFT was able to give back to the community by providing a donation to PANCHO CLAUS who works with underserved children in our community providing toys, bicycles and education.
In late January, our Brick Garden will again expand as we install the next tranche of engraved bricks – reflecting the direct support of our listeners.
